Landing Zone Grace
We have just moved from our 38-acre horse farm to 27-acre mountain valley land and look forward to preparing a place of mountain peace to continue the mission of providing a serene, secure and confidential Landing Zone for Special Operations Forces to rest, renew, decompress and find individual focus for life after war.
Landing Zone Grace, known affectionately as LZG or LZ-Grace, will look a bit different, but it will remain a place of home-cooked meals and fire-pit evenings. The new farmland will grow up with vegetable gardens, fruit and nut tree groves, and sits on Passage Creek, the perfect place for quiet fishing and relaxing. Shenandoah County is full of hiking trails, historic points, ski slopes in the winter, and four very special horses, four slightly crazy companion dogs, and over time, we will fill it with nooks for yoga, art, woodworking, and fellowship. A mountain retreat to renew a soul or find your peace.
“Not at all sure I would have stayed in, reconnected with my mom, or for that matter, lived, if I had not spent some time at your “home away from home.” A long way from Cali, but I desperately needed the sleep and good food and fishing and picking up a paintbrush to canvas again. Head on straight and back at it.”
